Deputy Chief Communications Officer
Contact Michael Keaton
Mike Keaton serves as the deputy chief communications officer for the NLN where he oversees media relations, marketing, website, social media, and membership outreach. He is responsible for setting the strategic vision and processes for all of the NLN’s communications activities. Mike has 25 years of nonprofit association experience, previously serving as senior director of communications for the American Moving & Storage Association. Prior to that, he served as the director of marketing and communications for the Society for Women's Health Research, where he led the development of their media, marketing, and online presence.
He is a member of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) and past member of the National Press Club. Mike grew up near Pittsburgh, Pa., and earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Communications from Clarion University of Pennsylvania. He currently lives in Washington, D.C.
