Dr. Teresa Shellenbarger is the Executive Director for the NLN Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (CNEA). Previously she was a Distinguished University Professor and Doctoral Program Coordinator at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. During her 30 years of classroom and clinical teaching across various programs and levels of nursing education, she has established a reputation as an expert educator, mentor, and respected leader advocating for excellence in nursing education. Her work has focused on initiatives to promote quality in nursing education and demonstrates her commitment to building a strong and diverse workforce. Dr. Shellenbarger earned her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from the Pennsylvania State University, a master’s degree in nursing from Southern Connecticut State University, and a PhD in nursing from Widener University.
