SOLD - OUT | 2017 Institute for Simulation Educators (ISE)
This three and a half day instructive and interactive forum is designed for faculty beginning work in simulation and searching for a solid foundation in simulation education. The Institute for Simulation Educators will provide faculty with the knowledge and skills to use simulation to its full potential, with an emphasis on enhancing student learning.
A collaborative partnership between the National League for Nursing’s Center for Innovation in Simulation and Technology and the University of Maryland School of Nursing, the Institute for Simulation Educators brings together simulation leaders to share their expertise in the creation and integration of effective simulation programs in nursing education.
Intensive work sessions will include hands-on simulation and debriefing opportunities with peer and expert feedback. Pre-institute assignments from the NLN Simulation Innovation Resource Center (SIRC) courses and peer-reviewed articles will enhance the ability of participants to engage with a common frame of understanding. Participants will leave the workshop with essential knowledge to improve facilitation of simulation and debriefing technique and with key strategies to build a robust simulation program in nursing programs.
