NLN Tech Conference October 22-24, Tampa
Washington, DC, July 30, 2015 – Look back on 10 years of technology in nursing education at the NLN/Elsevier Annual Technology Conference: Partnering for Connected Health, October 22-24.
The NLN’s popular “Unconferences” where participants set the agenda will be joined by two new features this year:
 | A Gallery Walk will offer the chance to try out connected health applications and speak with nurse educators already using this innovative technology in their classrooms and clinical settings. |
| | A tour and poster viewing at the University of South Florida Center for Advanced Medical Learning and Simulation (CAMLS). The downtown Tampa campus houses a state-of-the-art health care simulation and training center in an impressive three-story 90,000 square foot facility. |
Among the marquee names leading sessions are: Drs. Diane Billings, Helen Connors, Patricia Dykes, Pam Jeffries, Elizabeth Jordon, Dee McGonigle, and Diane Skiba; Michelle M. Kirwan and Julie McAfooes.
“This anniversary represents an important milestone in our education of nursing students,” noted NLN CEO Beverly Malone, PhD, RN, FAAN. “The Opening Session will celebrate the history of the conference, tracing the growth in importance of technology in the health care landscape.”
Added NLN president Marsha Howell Adams, PhD, RN, CNE, FAAN, ANEF, and dean of the University of Alabama College of Nursing in Huntsville, “Now under the umbrella of the NLN Center for Innovation in Simulation and Technology, the NLN/Elsevier Technology Conference plays a key role in the League’s mission to advance the health of the nation and the global community. I encourage faculty to take advantage of this conference to explore the newest innovations that foster connections between providers and patients.”
When the conference ends late Saturday afternoon, October 24, participants will leave equipped to:
