Washington, DC, September 15, 2016 - A National League for Nursing tradition continues with the release of new works of scholarship in conjunction with the annual NLN Education Summit, Beyond Boundaries. Three new titles and the recently published A Systematic Approach to Assessment and Evaluation of Nursing Programs edited by Dr. Marilyn Oermann will be available at the 2016 Summit at the Orlando World Center Marriott September 21-23.  | Advancing Care Excellence for Seniors (ACE.S): A Guide for Faculty, Elaine Tagliareni, EdD, RN, CNE, FAAN, ed., a publication of the NLN Center for Excellence in the Care of Vulnerable Populations, dedicated to the late Dr. Andrea Mengel, a co-creator of the ACE.S project and trailblazer in geriatric nursing
This book provides a roadmap for the implementation of ACE.S. The first section offers the foundational evidence for the ACE.S framework and evaluation of the total project; the second section presents exemplars of how faculty, many of them NLN Hearst Foundations Award winners, applied the ACE.S framework to their unique curricula. | ||

Filling a void in nursing education and research, it addresses the need for rigorous study design that is theoretically based, using reliable and valid measures to move the discipline forward.
