National League for Nursing Teams Up with the National Council for State Boards of Nursing | ||
Washington, DC, April 23, 2019 —
The National League for Nursing (NLN) Testing Services is pleased to announce a new collaboration with the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) to provide today's nursing students and their institutions with the best of both organizations as they prepare for the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX®).
Institutions can now offer students the new and improved NLN Live Review, an onsite coaching experience that incorporates the NCSBN's NCLEX Practice Exam (NPE). The NPE provides candidates preparing to take NCLEX Examinations with an experience that is similar to the look and the feel of the actual test. The NPE is a simulation of the NCLEX using actual retired NCLEX items. Each NLN Live Review features an expert facilitator, equipped with candidate NPE results, that guides active learning through interactive and comprehensive learning scenarios to better prepare candidates for NCLEX success. About the NPE The NCSBN NPE offers participants two separate exams with 125 questions on each; six continuous hours to take each RN practice exam; five continuous hours to take each PN practice exam; a tutorial to demonstrate the different question types; and a score report with the percentage of questions answered correctly. The cost of the NPE is $150 USD. About Live Reviews The NLN Live Review offers institutions 2- or 3-day sessions, which include expert facilitation and a customized coaching session based on candidate performance for each of the NCLEX topic areas. In addition to completing various learning scenarios, participants will review the NCLEX testing process and test blueprint, and discover test-taking strategies. It has evolved into one of the leading voices of regulation across the world. NCSBN's membership is comprised of the NRBs in the 50 states, the District of Columbia, and four U.S. territories — American Samoa, Guam, Northern Mariana Islands and the Virgin Islands. There are three exam user members. There are also 26 associate members that are either NRBs or empowered regulatory authorities from other countries or territories. Join the NLN's online community. |
