NLN Foundation Advances the Cause of Nursing Education on the Global Day of Giving | ||
Washington, DC — The NLN Foundation for Nursing Education joins the global philanthropic movement Giving Tuesday, set this year for December 3. Giving Tuesday is held annually on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving in the United States. On this global day of giving, the nursing profession harnesses the collective power of individuals, communities, and organizations to encourage philanthropy and to celebrate global generosity. To achieve the annual fundraising goal of $270,000, the NLN Foundation hopes to raise $50,000 from #NLNGivingTuesday and end-of-year fundraising efforts. All funds will directly support the NLN Foundation's nurse educator scholarships and other important programs that promote excellence in nursing education.
