National League for Nursing Opens Registration for 2020 Education Summit, Master of Teaching—Art of Leadership, September 23-25 in Orlando, Florida

Early Bird Registration Ends May 31
Washington, DC —Innovation and excellence will take center stage at the National League for Nursing 2020 Education Summit, Master of Teaching—Art of Leadership, September 23-25 in Orlando, Florida. Early Bird registration is now open online for the premier annual conference in nursing education.

“This year’s Summit is laser-focused on three key objectives that the National League for Nursing has identified to broaden and deepen the impact of nursing education on public health worldwide,” said NLN President Patricia S. Yoder-Wise, RN, EdD, NEA-BC, ANEF, FAONL, FAAN, Professor and Dean Emerita at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center and president of The Wise Group. “First, we’ll explore the integration of innovation and excellence across the nursing curricula. Next, we’ll examine strategies to enhance transformational leadership. Finally, we’ll engage in maximizing collegial networks and strengthening partnerships among all stakeholders.”

“With an emphasis on the art of teaching and learning across curricula, nurse educators, from novice to expert, will find intensive professional development to advance their career goals and skill sets to achieve instructional mastery and visionary leadership. This year’s Summit is especially timely as nurse educators have been leading with creativity and flexibility to prepare their students for a changed health care world due to COVID-19,” said NLN CEO Beverly Malone, PhD, RN, FAAN.

Faculty, deans and directors, senior administrators, and executives in related health care institutions will explore in depth the “how-to” of becoming master teachers and transformational leaders in programs and activities offered throughout the three-day Summit on eight distinctive tracks: Facilitate Active Learning. Interprofessional Education; Simulation and Technology; Transition to Practice; Leadership; Diversity and Inclusion; Assessment and Evaluation; and Global Initiatives.

The Faculty Meeting will focus on post-COVID-19: the collective response, collaboration, lessons learned, and leading into the future. In addition, the Dean’s Luncheon will feature the newly launched NLN Coaching for Excellence course.
