Newly Redesigned Website, Promotional Brochure & Nursing Program Survey Infographic Earn National Recognition

Washington, DC — The National League for Nursing proudly announces new honors from the APEX Awards of Excellence, which recognize excellence in publishing by professional communicators, with the NLN Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (CNEA) earning an Award of Excellence for the recently redesigned CNEA.NLN.ORG.

Additionally, the NLN Annual Survey of Schools of Nursing Highlights Infographic was honored with an Award of Excellence in the category of Design and Illustration—Infographics and the Celebrating Leadership in Nursing & Nursing Education Brochure won in the category of Print Media—Marketing and Public Relations.

Digital Marketing Manager India West led or provided design support for all three of the winning projects, under the direction of NLN Deputy Chief Communications Officer Michael Keaton, with valuable contributions from Marketing and Communications Manager Ann Marie Watson. NLN CNEA Deputy Director Jenny Chicca led the redesign of the CNEA website.

NLN Chair Patricia Sharpnack, DNP, RN, CNE, NEA-BC, ANEF, FAAN, Dean and Strawbridge Professor at the Breen School of Nursing and Health Professions at Ursuline College in Ohio, congratulated the League and CNEA professional staff on these achievements, saying, “These awards reflect the impressive skill and experience it takes to present the important work of the National League for Nursing and NLN CNEA, reaching diverse audiences in a manner that is both engaging and effectively communicates the enormous value and benefit of those resources and programs to the entire nursing education community.”

NLN President and CEO Beverly Malone, PhD, RN, FAAN, said, “Congratulations again to the outstanding staff of the National League for Nursing and NLN CNEA for their second series of communications awards this year. These wins would not be possible without collaboration across the entire organization. We are so proud of this success.”

The yearly APEX competition is intense. A panel of industry leaders judge the entries based on excellence in graphic design, editorial content, and the success of each entry in achieving overall excellence and effectiveness in communications. Winning entries are selected regardless of budgetary, staff or other organizational limitations. For more information about the APEX Awards, visit ApexAwards.com.
