Award-Winning NLN Podcast Relaunches with New Ideas to Spark Innovation in Nursing Education

NLN Nursing EDge Unscripted Helps Nurse Educators Move from the Mundane to the Exceptional

Washington, DC — Just in time for the holidays, the National League for Nursing has relaunched NLN Nursing EDge Unscripted, the award-winning podcast produced by the NLN Center for Innovation in Education Excellence. With two new episodes scheduled for release each month, this is an ideal time for nurse educators on winter break to catch up on the podcast’s Season 4, currently underway, and get ready to tune into Season 5, which will start after the New Year in January.

NLN Nursing EDge Unscripted highlights the latest practical guidance and conceptual framework for implementing innovation and transformation in nursing education. With an attractive, straightforward user-friendly presentation, the newly designed website offers speedy access to content of interest to nurse educators nationwide and globally.

A link to the seven episodes recorded so far in Season 4 is found right on the home page. The popular streaming services, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and YouTube, also carry the series live, the latter in video format. The entire audio and video archive, encompassing Seasons 1 through 4, is available on the site as well.

“This wonderful podcast series brings a live dimension to the experiences and wisdom of faculty-scholars who are experts in various specialties of educational innovation. With a fresh look and feel, the podcast website will increase listener engagement and help propel nursing education to a level of exceptional instructional achievement,” said NLN Chair Patricia Sharpnack, DNP, RN, CNE, NEA-BC, ANEF, FAAN, Dean and Strawbridge Professor at the Breen School of Nursing and Health Professions at Ursuline College in Ohio.

“Nursing EDge Unscripted is an ambitious undertaking, dedicated to the belief in the power of innovation to spark transformative excellence in nursing education. We thank the guest speakers and distinguished members of the NLN Nursing EDge Editorial Advisory Board, whose lively exchanges ultimately serve to advance patient care and health outcomes in our globally connected, dynamic, diverse, health care environment,” said NLN President and CEO Beverly Malone, PhD, RN, FAAN.
