A government that is elected by its citizens affects every aspect of our lives from schools to health care to homeland security, voting is an important right in our society. PRESIDENT SIGNS OPIOID BILL

capitol connection 2     On October 24th, President Trump signed into law the bipartisan Substance Use–Disorder Prevention that Promotes Opioid Recovery and Treatment (SUPPORT) for Patients and Communities Act (HR 6). This legislation stems from months of work from both chambers of Congress to address the opioid epidemic. Further, it addresses the issue broadly by including prevention, treatment, and law enforcement efforts.

Additionally, the legislation includes the provision allowing for more flexibility with respect to medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for opioid use disorders (Section 3201). Read more...
