Title : Spring 2016 Leadership Webinar - Hues and Humanity: Creating Context for Human Flourishing

Building capacity requires paying attention to making quality decisions, confronting implicit biases and system inequities, liberating healthy uses of power, and the mentoring and coaching of colleagues. There is ongoing interaction, interplay, and collaboration among the community’s members as they strive for alignment with core values. Organizational culture…the context for our work demands respect and will eat strategy for lunch if not treated as important. And the ability to flourish will be compromised. Belonging, not just fitting in nourishes the feeling of safety and supports desired academic outcomes of success. In the midst of it all is understanding how to create inclusive environments. This happens by design not default and takes work.  In other words, the way we do the things we do can lead to poor stewardship of our resources…people, money and time. Preparing the context for human flourishing  is critical for all hues and for humanity.

There is ongoing interaction, interplay, and collaboration among the community’s members as they strive for specified common learning goals.
