Lynn Engelmann is a nurse educator and consultant who works with professional organizations and schools of nursing, promoting faculty development via workshops and webinars on a variety of topics, including: NCLEX and program success; students at risk; faculty mentoring and helping behaviors; mentoring as it relates to leadership roles, curriculum development and evaluation; clinical instruction; evidence-based practice; and human flourishing. She is currently serving NLN as a consultant for the LEAD program and assists nursing programs with program evaluation and preparation for accreditation.
Lynn is co-editor of the first editions of Teaching Nursing: The Art and Science (Volumes 1, 2, and 4) and a contributor to Volume 3 (first edition) and the second edition of the series. She served as member of the Nursing Education Advisory Council and participated in developing the NLN Competencies Model. She was a founding member of the Journal of Teaching and Learning in Nursing and served as Associate Editor for many years. She is a certified nurse educator and fellow in the academy of nursing education.
Lynn is co-editor of the first editions of Teaching Nursing: The Art and Science (Volumes 1, 2, and 4) and a contributor to Volume 3 (first edition) and the second edition of the series. She served as member of the Nursing Education Advisory Council and participated in developing the NLN Competencies Model. Mary Anne Rizzolo, EdD, RN, FAAN, ANEF, FSSH founded the Leadership Development Program for Simulation Educators in 2010. While on staff at the NLN, she worked with Dr. Pamela Jeffries on the original simulation research project and the SIRC development project. She has managed the authoring process for all of the ACES unfolding cases, and spearheaded the project that explored the use of simulation for high stakes assessment.
Dr. Rizzolo's career has always focused on exploring new technologies, determining how they can inform and educate nurses, operationalizing their cost-effective delivery, and disseminating their value for education and practice. She pioneered the development of screen-based simulations that won national and international awards and created one of the first websites in the world offering continuing education, journal articles, and networking opportunities for nurses. She has served on many committees and advisory boards and delivered numerous national & international presentations. Dr. Rizzolo served on the Society for Simulation in Healthcare's Certification Committee from its inception, and on the SSH Board of Directors. She chaired the committee that developed the SSH Academy, is currently vice chair of the Credentialing Commission, and was recently elected to the Board of the Global Network for Simulation in Healthcare.
