Elaine Tagliareni, EdD, RN, CNE, FAAN, consultant with the National League for Nursing (NLN)
The terms readiness for practice, practice readiness, and job readiness are often used interchangeably. But are they the same? Drs. Patterson and Tagliareni will discuss current literature on this challenging and puzzling issue and review current thinking about how to achieve program outcomes that address this issue. Join the discussion about how to reframe the concept of readiness and re-think competencies related to transition to practice in pre-licensure programs. We will explore approaches to address readiness within the nursing program curriculum.
