Learn more about the three, full year long programs offered by the NLN Leadership Institute: LEAD, Simulation, and Executive. These programs are designed to enhance and maximize leadership skills for faculty, deans, directors, and administrators, e.g. associate and assistant deans, chairs as well as nurse administrators and educators in practice. Speakers
Lynn Engelmann, MSN, EdD, RN, CNE, ANEF, of Lynn Consulting, LLC is a nurse educator and consultant who works with Dr. Janice Brewington as an NLN LEAD Consultant to develop and coordinate the LEAD Program. Lynn also consults with schools of nursing, promoting faculty development via workshops and webinars on a variety of topics, including: NCLEX and program success; student at risk; faculty mentoring and helping behaviors; mentoring as it relates to leadership roles, curriculum development and evaluation; clinical instruction; evidence-based practices; and human flourishing. She assists nursing programs with program evaluation and preparation for accreditation.
Mary Anne Rizzolo, EdD, RN, FAAN, ANEF, FSSH founded the Leadership Development Program for Simulation Educators in 2010. While on staff at the NLN, she worked with Dr. Pamela Jefferies on the original simulation research project and the SIRC development project. She has managed the authoring process for all of the ACES unfolding cases and spearheaded the project that explored the use of simulation for high stakes assessment. Dr. Rizzolo served on the Society for Simulation in Healthcare’s Certification Committee from its inception, and on the SSH Board of Directors. She chaired the committee that developed the SSH Academy, is currently vice chair of the Credentialing Commission, and was recently elected to the Board of the Global Network for Simulation in Healthcare.
