Dr. Teresa Shellenbarger is the executive director of the National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA). She is a distinguished university professor emeritus from Indiana University of Pennsylvania where she served as the PhD program coordinator in the Department of Nursing and Allied Health Professions. She is a distinguished scholar and leader in nursing education and draws from her more than 30 years of teaching at the baccalaureate, masters, and doctoral levels to advance quality and excellence in nursing education.

Dr. Shellenbarger is a respected expert and sought-after speaker on topics related to accreditation, program development and evaluation, innovative teaching strategies, clinical nursing education, faculty roles, and student issues in nursing education. She has an impressive record of national and international presentations and has published four books, numerous book chapters, and over 100 journal articles. Dr. Shellenbarger is certified by the National League for Nursing as an academic nurse educator and an academic clinical nurse educator and was inducted as an inaugural fellow in the Academy of Nursing Education.
